Is there any plans for a direct SPA5xx replacement for the SPA962 that is at a similar price point to the SPA962 ie a large color screen phone with multiple lines but without the wifi, usb etc that are in the SPA525G. Effectively a more cost effective executive phone than SPA525G. Thanks.

Hi Peter;

Not in the short/medium term. The actual replacement for SPA962 is the SPA 525G

I my opinion the SPA504G would may make a good transition if cost is an issue. I have found that rarely are all 6 lines used unless they are filling the role of a receptionist. The 504 has 4 extensions with 8 calls slots. If not there is the SPA508G that has 8 lines and 16 call slots. The only thing you do not get is the color screen you get the backlit screen. I have found this on others as well as my own phones the color screen has been a waste.

In all the 500 phones have been great and the 525 with the Bluetooth is worth the extra costs alone. You dont have to buy the expensive headsets in place of the inesxpensive Bluetooth headsets.
