RV042 not able to work with ISP network

We just purchased RV042.

We intend to use it to connect to two networks, both DHCP.

One network is working perfectly, it connects and received an IP address.

The other is not connecting! No IP address is received from the network and when I check the port statistics we see many errors.

If we connect this same network cable to a computer it works perfectly ad very fast.

We managed to connect once after disabling the other WAN port but also seen many TCP error and the connection was very slow.

Please help.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the device.

I think we need to explain a little bit how the dual wan works:

The RV042 is by default working as smart link backup, which means that even if you connect two ISP's to the WAN ports just one will be working at one time, the other will kick in if the first one fails and viceversa.

So, here is what you can do:

1- Connect every single ISP to the WAN port one by one and make sure they are both working.

2- Connect one ISP to port WAN one and the second to port WAN two.

3- Go to system management and select Load balance.

4- Reset the router.

You should see that both interfaces get an IP address.
