when using vtp pruning, why vtp transparent mode can cause network instability ?

where does vtp pruning message encapsulated ?  Is it support by vtp transparent mode ?

VTP pruning is not supported with VTP transparent. A VTP transparent switch will still pass VTP updates but it is recommended by Cisco that if you are running some of the switches in VTP transparent mode you should disable VTP pruning in your network.

Do't forget that you can always use the "switchport trunk allowed vlan ..." command to specifically control which vlans are allowed across trunk links.
