Disabling proxy-arp

Hi,

To implement Cisco best practice configuration, I disabled the proxy-arp on the ip telephony vlan interfaces of our core switch. This brought the entire ip telephony network down. The phones were able to register but all incoming or outgoing calls failed. Has anyone experienced this issue? What could be the reason?

We have two core switches with HSRP configured.

Not aware of your topology though,

Does your down stream devices have a gateway configured to that of the core switch ?
