Reviewing the release notes and the migration notes - one thing does not seem clear. When you
do the upgrade (via command line or ASDM) - is all the NAT and ACL syntax updated automagically?

Yes, when you perform the upgrade, syntax from version 8.2 will be automatically converted to version 8.3.
