Sometimes the Outlook client displays succesful synchronization with the server but the OWA shows new mails that were not available with the client. The way to retrieve those mails is by means of Working offline flag on and then off. We are using WCCP and with IMAP out of WCCP, this does not happen. In fact, when it does happen, it is a random occurrence.
Have you people previously encountered this behavior? We have not yet debugged nor sniffed.
Have any of you seen WAEs drop the TCP connection between them and keeping the local TCP up? I’m not positive this is what’s going on but, couldn’t it be a possibility? The client sees the connection up but both WAEs have already dropped the connection for some reason. Alternatively, perhaps failure in database synchronization and because of that the local WAE understands there is nothing to retrieve from its remote peer.
Do you know a CLI command or a menu where I can look into it?
This is IMAP. OWA is used to tell whether e-mail has actually arrived. The Send/Receive button displays a successful synchronization but no new messages are shown.
