Here is the rundown:
We have a stack of 7 3750's. The master switch decided to crater and somehow corrupted the config, but only portions of the config. It lost all of the VLAN descriptions, AutoQOS entries, Interface descriptions, VLAN ip addresses except for VLAN 1, EIGRP routing configs, logging statements, AAA config, Telnet passwords. It kept everything else. We have gone through to see if there was some kind of human intervention and the switches or the configs were not touched prior to the problem. Has anyone ever encountered a config only losing certain parts? I have only seen a complete config corruption or a hardware failure, not a partial. We would like to know if this is a stack issue or a something bigger. Thanks for the input in advance.
