Change WAAS CM IP address

We need to move our WAAS central manager and change the IP address. Is the correct proceedure to degister the WAE, change CM IP and then reregister? Is there anything else to consider? Disk encryption is not enabled.

Hi Brian,

The procedure you described is correct. The avoid the need for WAE changes on the future, you can register the WAE to the hostname of the Central Manager (CM) instead of the IP address. This requires that you create a host record in your DNS infrastructure for the CM, but future changes to the CM IP address only require that you update the DNS record instead of every WAE configuration.
