VPN Client on Windows 7

Hi all, I cannot install the VPN Client 5.0.07.029 on a notebook running Windows 7 Professional as OS. The installation always stops with error 1036.

Can anybody help me?

Is it 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

For 32-bit Windows 7, you should install "vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe"

For 64-bit Windows 7, you should install "vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe"

Its a 32bit and I tried to install "vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe" and I got the error message.

Which error message are you getting?

Are you sure there's not a previous version of the VPN client already installed on the machine?

This VPN Installation is the first installtion on this notebook".

The Cisco Installer give back following error: "internal error 2738"

I'm not sure it can help with the specified version, but I followed this suggestions and I successfully installed the Cisco VPN Client on Windows 7 latop.
