  • Cisco Employee,

Check out bug CSCsd52483.  You probably want to try to boot from the secondary image to get the controller up.  Then follow the upgrade steps outlined in the release notes to get to the version of code you want to upgrade to.

Hi dancampb,

Thanks for the immidiate update. I went through bug  CSCsd52483 using the document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/5.0/configuration/guide/c5mfw.html#wp1053397 . I tried to upgrade  Bootloader Version  4.0.191.0 to AIR-WLC2100-K9-5-0-148-0-ER.aes using both CLI and GUI unfortunately the bootloader is not getting updated and afer reboot it is going back to rommon mode again. From there I need to manually boot the controller.

Any suggessions from your end will be appreciable.

Regards,

Manu

  • Cisco Employee,

You may just want to open a TAC case and have the controller RMA'd.

Thanks for the suggestion, solved the booting issue by re-seating the flash in the WLC
