Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to have 7911/42/62 phones go into sleep mode. I don't see any timer settings at the device level as with the 7945/65 phones which allow them to go to sleep. A client started a green initiative with the majority of phones being 79X2 integrated with CUCM 6.1.3-1000.16.
Does anyone know if there is some process to put the older model phones to sleep or is it not supported. I've been given conflicting answers but no specific details.
Thank you for the help.

I'm not sure. But I think the sleep mode is only available on color display phones, coz they usually consume more power.

Hi there,
Like Michael nicely noted (+5 "M" as always )
None of these models, 7911,7942 or 7962 support Sleep/Deep Sleep
or Power Save config's inherently. So you'll have to look at plan "B"
which comes at this question from a Switch/Switchport angle.
