Hi,

We have two voice routers out of which one router is having SRST supported.

1. I would like to know if there is any way that we can transfer the SRST license from the existing srst router to the router which does not have SRST

2. If it is possible then what is the procedure for doing the same.

Thanks.

Rgds./

Hi,

For ISR 2800/3800 routers and earlier the SRST license was an "honour" system. With the ISR G2 2900/3900 I believe that Cisco enforce licensing through activation codes.

So if you have an older router then, as long as you can prove that you have given Cisco their $$$ for SRST and that it is only enabled on one router, there should not be anything required. For the 2900/3900 you would need to ask the licensing department if they can reissue the license for the new router.
