the stages of a packet throw a cisco switch

Hello,

I'm tring to find a diagram of the succesion of functional blocks that a packet passes in his travel throw the switch/router.

input queue, the input acl, then input checks... monitor span, nat, filters, routing,cef.....

hook up a packet sniffer and watch the traffic.  Wireshark is very common, but cisco also offers the EPC.

a single diagram covering all the features you have mentioned does not exist probably.

you should look at different documents like

be aware that QoS implementation in multilayer switches is different from that of routers and also there are big changes among different switch platform.

SW based router platforms implement the different stages in software.
