I hope someone can help.
We have two servers with 2 x 10Gb dual homed connections to 2 Nexus 5K switches. Both switches carry the same VLAN's and are connected via Fibre.
Both servers which had been running fien for two days lost both of their connections at the same time. From a switch perspective all looked OK as the ports were up/up and there had been no STP recalculation.
The servers had not been touched.
The servers were showing no traffic on any of the ports.
To get traffic flowing we had to shut/no shut the switch ports. The connections immediately came up.
The servers are running SuSe Linux as an OS.
Any help would be appreciated as we don't want this to happen again.
The 5K's are running 4.0(1a)N2(1a)
