It is posible to remove DNS resolution in a cluster AFTER the cluster is set (AKA: both unity Connection were installed using DNS resolution)?
Version 7.1
Thanks

The installation rules for DNS are that if you do not configure it on initial install, then you cannot enable it post-installation without rebuilding the system. My inclination is that the reverse is also true. I also tested trying to remove the DNS configurations on a 7.1(3b)SU1 CUC server in my lab and there doesn't appear to be a valid command to do this. You can change the primary and secondary DNS servers; however, you cannot disable DNS.

Hi
If you take out the DNS server(s)s you will disable DNS resolution.

Alex,
Have you attempted to do this on a 7.1 server? If you attempt to set a blank DNS server, you get a CLI error for a missing, required configuration parameter...at least I did.

There is a command for clear DNS server.

What command would that be?
