meaning of nonoperating temperature

Hi,


I just wanted to ask on what is the meaning of the "non operating temparature" on the product data sheets. Is this the threshold temperature of the equipment before it shuts down?

This is the temperature range when the kit is switched off.


Think of in transit or storage.
