Hi, I have tried command show mac-address-table on Cisco ASA 5505 and Cisco ASA 5520. Output was ERROR: % unrecognized command.
How is that possible? Is there a new command?
More exactly, Cisco ASA 5505 with IOS ASA822-k8.bin.

Thanks for the link. I see that the command is supported in transparent mode only but I think I found a way to make this work in routed mode (which is what I have mine in) on the ASA 5505:
x-asa# show switch mac-address-table
Legend: Age - entry expiration time in seconds
Mac Address | VLAN | Type | Age | Port
-------------------------------------------------------
000X.XXXa.XXXe | 0001 | dynamic | 287 | Et0/2

I just checked a 5505, 5510, and 5580. All 3 worked.
the command only works from the enabled command-line. Can you copy and paste your command line and output?

Weird, I'm having the same problem and I don't think I've ever had it before.
I'm running, in enable mode, this command:
show mac-address-table
The output I get is:
ASA5505# sh mac-address-table
^
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Did you ever find out why this is. I am running asa821-k8.bin on a 5505 and I get the following:
x-asa# show mac-address-table
^
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Hello,
Seems like that command is supported only in "transparent" mode operation.

Hope this helps.
