SPA525G with UC560 via public internet

Hi Team,

As described on datasheet: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/phones/ps9730/ps10067/data_sheet_c78-508997.pdf , Embedded SSL VPN client for secure phone connectivity to your IPPBX over any public internet connection. I was wondering if it will work with UC560 via public internet ?

My customer has the UC560 in HQ, and the MD will work from home and need the phone registered with UC560. Instead of using VPN terminating with router, can we just leverage the VPN capacity on SPA525G to get the phone registered with UC560 in remote site ? Have Cisco tested it ? Will Cisco support this deployment ?

Dear Sir;

This deployment is supported. Check CCA for the configuration required.

Of course you will need a static IP address mapped to UC500 (this is the only way for the phone to "find" the UC500). Other than that, you should be good to go.
