Hi Folks,

We have a FWSM installed in a 6500 and would like to block bittorrent. The version of SW on FWSM is 7.2

We are trying to block P2P in the Raw ie in other words, not just  tunneled through HTTP.
Not sure what the relationship between IM and P2P is and whether P2P   like Bittorrent makes use of IM along with HTTP . There is also  extensive mention of PISA in the documentation and  I was wondering is  this something that came as an option for a  Sup32 and comes included  now with a Sup720. Is this something we can use to Block P2P and  Bittorrent in the raw?

We have a Sup720 in the 6500 and here is our HW and SW arrangement:

Here is the HW and Software we are using:

Firewall Module    WS-SVC-FWM-1  HW 4.0   FW 7.2(1)       SW 4.0(8)
Supervisor Engine 720 SUP720-3B   HW 4.5  FW 8.1(3)     SW 12.2(33)SXH4

Sub Modules

5  Policy Feature Card 3       WS-F6K-PFC3B         2.2

Hope someone can help us out here.

Many thanks in advance.
