I'd like to ask you if i can find out the load of each AP's that are connected through switch to the WLC 4400

For example, i need to know how many clients are connected to each AP, what is traffic on the AP

I can see it in the Monitor page og the WLC, there are clients connected to the AP but not in order.

If yu have hundreds of clinets you cannot take this output

Does exists OID to this information ?

I simply need to know if some AP's are not overloaded in comparison with others

Thank you

  • Cisco Employee,

You really can't judge the load of an AP just by the number of clients associated.  The load for 10 clients streaming a video would be a good bit higher than 10 clients just surfing the web.

You can set the thresholds on the controller to alert if the AP hits different values.  You also could use SNMP to track the load.

thank you for your answer

that's what i'm looking for for a few days : ) , SNMP OID that shows this values

And also I was not able to find thresholds connected to the AP.

There only threshold connected to the RRM

Do yu have som other sources ?

thanks for your answer

I think WCS is your best bet for what you are trying to acheive !

Although if you found an OID that can show the same value, that would be awesome.

I will track the post so if you found something please reply on your post.
