We need to provide access to VSOM to external clients. I gather this would be too hard to NAT through a firewall so I guess it's down to VPNs. Does anyone have any experience in getting this to work?

I gather VPN endpoints only need to be able to access the VSOM and VSMS IP addresses? They should need to access the cameras directly right?

I have this problem too.

We run vsom through nat without any issues.  The end machines just need access to

the VSOM server and the VSMS proxy server on port 80 and 1066 (I believe).

If you wanted to run it over vpn, that's also a good option.  And again, the clients only need access to the vsom server and the vsms proxy server that the cameras are on.

Hope this helps
