Bandwidh Test

Hi,

One of my site upgraded their lease line to 100 Mbps,

So can I test the link through any tool/software which showing the correct lease line bandwidth?

I tried some online bandwidh tester, but not satisfy.

Hi Vaibhav,

You want to test the bandwidth limit or the bandwidth utilization currently used in the link.Any how for both to test the bandwidth limit you can have heavy upl;oad or download of files using some ftp server which will tell you the bandwidth limit of the link as ftp are bandwidth greedy prortocols and to know the utilization of the link PRTG softwares are freeware which can give you the details of the in and out bandiwdth of the link.

Have a look at iperf. This is a free tool that can be used to measure bandwidth.

Both Windows and Linux versions are available for this product.
