We are trying Cisco scripts app_faxmail_onramp.2.0.1.3.tcl and app_faxmail_offramp.2.0.1.1.tcl for T.37 onramp (incoming, fax2mail) and offramp (outgoing, mail2fax) faxes, respectively.

Incoming faxes work, but outgoing faxes have some problems.

If we send any .tif file to the gateway by mail2fax, the receiving fax machine gives an error; instead, if we try to send the "Cisco_fax.tif" (generated by a previous incoming fax2mail fax), it works correctly.

What's wrong?

How can we generate a "Cisco-compatible" .tif file? Is there a tested image converter to obtain a "valid" file?
