Solved: When a public ASN is necesssary?

Hello,

If you want to use your own public IPs and bgp peer with other providers, do you need to request a ASN to LACNIC or something like that?

More especifically, when do I need to request a public ASN?

effective BGP multihoming is both the objective and a requirement for getting a public BGP AS number.
