CCIP & legacy CCNP queries post July 31

I've just completed the old CCNP made up of the ONT, ISCW, BSCI & BCMSN.

I want to move onto the CCIP but the BSCI will expire July 31.

If I run out of time and need to take the Route exam after July 31 will this extend the expiry date on my CCNP?

I have this problem too.

Yes, it will. See the link below which states:

"Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCVP, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum or any CCIE/CCDE written exam before the certification expiration date."
