Can the Cisco Aironet Desktop Utility (ADU) or Aironet Client Utility (ACU) software work with third party wireless cards?
My laptop wireless card = Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 5100
Please advise,
Colm

Say if the laptop used for the wireless site survey does not have a slot for a Cisco PCMCIA (as many modern laptops don't). Will ADU/ACU work with a usb Cisco wireless card such as the Cisco DPW939 USB Wireless Networking Adapter?
thanks

That's a tricky question but I would hazard a guess of "no, it won't work". The drivers for the ADU is very specific to the PCMCIA card bus. The card is made by different business unit to Scientific Atlanta thus the drivers were crafted differently.
