hi,
Is it possible to make use unified presence with CUCME.
I explain :
There is a multi-site dployment model.
In 2 sites, there is cUCM,
And in 3 other sites, there is CUCME.
The company want to use Unified presence.
Is it possible to implement this with the 3 other sites?
Best regards

My understanding is that CUPS is not compatible with CUCME. See the following table:

So CUCM users cannot use CUPC.
Also CUCM 8 is not compatible with LDAP yet.

Thank you,
So is this design is possible :
Register all remote phone (branch office) in the CUCM.
And when inter-site network is down, then the SRST is up in each branch.

Hi
Yes, central CUCM registered phones failing back to a local router for SRST is a very common topology.
A little contrary to what other people have said on this thread - it is actually possible for people to use CUPC as they are (with phones registered to CME). Functionality is limited, as there is no telephony integration available (as CUPC will only control phones registered to CUCM, not CME). You would get:
-LDAP Searching
-Contacts List
-Presence (available/away etc as set in CUPC, 'in a meeting' if you have Exchange integration configured)
-Instant Messaging
You would not get:
-CTI Features - popups on incoming calls, video/voice calling, dialing from Contacts list in Outlook or CUPC etc.
-'On the phone' status based on the CUCM phone, as that doesn't exist for these users
-Softphone mode would be a bad idea, as the user would have two lines on two different phone systems (CUCM for the CUPC softphone, and CME for their ip phone)
Obviously there's a lot of stuff lost there, but if it's just IM and Presence you want, and the CME users have LDAP accounts, then you can do it.
You would basically have to configure End Users on CUCM that match their LDAP users as you would for normal CUPC users, but not assign any CTI groups or associated devices.

Thank you very much,
Have you any document (or link) how integrate CUPC with CUCME ?
I'm very intersted with this option, even if there are many options that are disabled with the CUCME.

Antra
