Cookies on DMP 4400

Hi,

I have set up a web server with a couple of asp pages. When a DMP browses a page the asp page identify it by its IP address.

Unfortunately it is not always possible on WANs due to firewalls.

I have then managed to write a cookie on each DMP to identify it. My ASP page can read that cookie and knows which DMP it is. The problem is that if for a reason I reboot the DMP, the cookie disappear (even though I wrote the cookie with a very long lifetime). I think that when I write the cookie it is stored on the cache of the DMP, and when I reboot the box the cache is cleared.

Does anyone knows a way around this? Or any other way to identify a DMP (other than using its IP) from an ASP page?

Thank you.

Thibault

Sorry, This is not supported at this time.

To add this support you would need to OPEN a TAC Case and request a feature enhancement for

this type of functionality and the Business Unit would evaluate the request.

Cheers!
