Wireless client does not resolve DNS

I installed Controller 4402 with 44 1252 APs.  It just seems the wireless network is not passing dns info when a laptop is connected thru wireless (only able to ping by its IP adress) , but when same machines  are wired they communicate fine by machine name.

Both networks are in the same subnet.

Thanks for providing the answer.

Do you have a virtual address set on your WLC if so what is it?

Yes, it has a virtual IP address:  1.1.1.1

Thanks George.

You need to check how the DHCP scope is defined for the wireless client. Under Controller--> internal DHCP Server--> DHCP Scope--> verify the DHCP scope and DNS server address pointed to.
