is CCENT certification mandate before CCNA

Hello Experts,

As per the latest Information on www.cisco.com/certification, Entry-level career certification is marked as CCENT.

Does this mean, we need to PASS first the CCENT exam (640-822 ICND1) & then later take up CCNA certification 640-816 ICND2?

That is one route towards achieving your CCNA cert. There is also the 640-802

single composite exam route
