VWIC2-1MFT-G703 Dilemma

Hello,

We were about to order VWIC2-1MFT-G703, i heard rumors regarding its satbility, did some research and found a release note, im not sure if it was resolved latter, i want to ask experts if they faced any issues with this card whether using voice or data.

A Cisco 2600 series router running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(3.4)T using Voice/WAN interface cards (VWICs)-VWIC-2MFT-G703 or VWIC-1MFT-G703 only-in unframed E1 mode may experience large numbers of line errors. There is no workaround.

Rumors ??? The card works fine just like all the other products sold by Cisco worldwide.

The bug you referenced has been resolved long time ago. You should buy a support contract so you could see bug status yourself instead on relying on second-hand, outdated information.

Note, in most cases, it is not necessary to buy the G.703 version, even if you are told otherwise, any VWIC will work.
