I thought that everything that invokes http & https is out of service during the restart of the service. But it's good to know that the services using http or https aren't impacted, so logged in profiles stay logged in and can work. What when Directories, Services, Voice Mail & Settings is pressed on an IP Phone? These will fail too during the restart?

You can restart the Tomcat service via CLI independently.

For Unity Connection

To restart the Cisco Tomcat service, use the CLI command

utils service restart Cisco Tomcat.

Then to check

utils service list

but my question is not how to restart the service.

My question is to avoid an issue after restart cisco Tomcat, on Cisco Unity Connection with experiecing an "Except:Java.util.missingRessource....." .

what are the services (other than Cisco Tomcat) I must to check after restart and check the Cisco Tomcat..

IMO, the best thing to do would be the following:

From CLI - "utils service list page" before restarting Tomcat.  Note the services that are started.

Restart Tomcat via CLI.  You can watch the status of it and other services by running the same "utils service list page" command.  When the service has restarted (might take a few minutes), just note the services that are started again.

For the most part, if I restart Tomcat for some reason - the first thing I do is attempt to login to an administration web page.  If the page loads, then you are generally OK.  If it doesn't, then that's the first hint of an issue.  When you restart Tomcat, you (and users) will not be able to connect to the Unity Connection server via HTTP/HTTPS (administration web pages, end user web pages, etc).

To restart Tomcat service right the below command as it is with the capital letters:

utils service restart Cisco Tomcat

Why you need to restart IPsec, because there is no IPsec service in Cisco CUCM
