Hi,
Cisco 2950 switch shows 20Mb..16MB for switch operaation IO and switch processes..what is rest of 4Mb used for?
cisco WS-C2950G-48-EI (RC32300) processor (revision J0) with 20957K bytes of memory.

Does anyone has idea how to calculate 20Mb. Normal 2950 has 16Mb of SDRAM as per documnent.
We have 4 Mb of memory extra.

Hi i read the show version already...
But don't know why 20 Mb showing since document shows only 16Mb and even download software shows 16MB for 2950 switches.
8 MB Memory shared by all ports out of 20 MB of RAM. Rest of available memory 7.8 is allocated for system processes. Currently working IOS is limited features without crypto. It is normal utilization in your setup.
