Visual VoiceMail

Running CUCM with Unity Connection 7.1.3ES26.32900-26. Phone models are 7941, 7942 & 7970 & using Extension Mobility. We have configured Visual VoiceMail and it is working. The problem we have with it is that when users log into their phones with Extension Mobiltiy and they load Visual VoiceMail for the first time, it takes upto 50 seconds from pressing the "messages" button to eventually seeing the messages on the phone.

Is this normal behaviour? Are others seeing the same thing? Once the Visual VocieMail "app" is loaded onto the phone, accessing it for the second time or third or thereafter it is much quicker (5 seconds).

We have even changed firmware to the latest release - SCCP41.9-0-2SR2S

Yes this is normal. Visual voicemail is a Java MIDlet that is literally downloaded and installed on the phone. It takes a few moments for this to happen.
