Why does User Name not appear in Client Properties?

Hi,

I'm running several 3750G WLC's, 11221,1142 and 1252 AP's with a mix of clients (a g n) using Protected EAP/ WPA2. I see under client properties ( from Monitor/Client in the GUI) there is a User Name field. This in my case is not populated. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the user name in that field.

I notice also under WCS the client properites show User Name as Host/Machine name.

Any ideas

It depends on the EAP type you are using. Some of the EAP types hash everything, includeding the username, between the client and Radius server. If

the EAP type you are using is one of these the controller isn't able to see the username during the authentication process to be able to populate this field.
