Aironet1131 IP Change

All, I have 2 1131's that are working properly. The only issue I have is that we changed our IP scheme and the WAP's have static IP's. Consequently we cannot login to them. Once I console in, what are the steps to change the IP so we may manage the devices using the web interface? Also will this result in a disruption of service?

Thanks!!

Once you console in just go to enable mode, then go into conifg mode and change the address of the BVI interface:

ap>en

ap# config t

ap(config)# interface BVI1

ap(config-if)# ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0

Don't forget to change the default gateway too.

Interestingly enough when I changed the BVI ip address it still didn't work. On a whim I changed the subinterface ip and I can now telnet and web into the devices. Very strange.
