UC540 new deployment

Ive recently taken on the project of setting up our UC540 system Ive setup some basic handsets and features but I seem to have an issue with my test handset and softphone working on the same extension.

I use a 7975 Ext 206 and the softphone also has ext 206 so if I get a call they both ring together, however when I use CCA it shows an error in the user extensions saying that both phones have the same extension and wont save or allow me to change the config..

I also want to setup the reception handset with ext 200 with other users ranging from 201 onwards, is that possible?

I have used this document many times to set up an extension on two phones. Although it is based on CCA 2.0, the process is the same in CCA 2.2.4. The key is to SHARE the extension on both the CIPC and the 7975. Also, be sure to set up the voicemail so both extension are able to access the same voicemail box.
