EIM - alias is disabled automatically

We are using EIM 4.24 Basic version.

We are facing an issuse, alias is disabled automatically. when we reset the password the alias state is changed to active.

Disabled: If there are consecutive authentication failures while connecting to the mailbox, the alias

is disabled.

Why the authentication failures ?

what scenarios it willl occur ?

Is it bug in version.

It sounds like your have the password keyed in wrong on your SMTP configuration.  I would reset the password on the e-mail account, then manually enter the password again in the EIM retreiver/dispatch services configuration.
