ODBC Connection failure to SQL2008 in UCCX 7.0

Hi,

I have to access a database that resides on the SQL 2008 server through the UCCX scripts. To achieve this, I am trying to establish an ODBC connection to the SQL2008 named instance from the UCCX server but I get the following SQL connection error:

Connection failed:

SQLState: '010000'

SQL Server Error:53

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect())

Connection Failed:

SQL State:'08001'

SQL Server error:17

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL server does not exist or access denied.

The ODBC driver version is 3.526.3959.0 and UCCX is installed as a standalone server with version7.0(1).

Note: I am able to access this named instance through the SQL2008 management studio from me desktop.

Any thoughts is highly appreciated!

Thanks,

DM

Hi,

make sure it is UCCX 7.0(1) SR4.

Second, is it a SQL Server Express Edition? Those tend to be a bit tricky, listening on non standard ports etc.

G.

Any update?  Im having the same issue on SQL 2008 Standard

Had to staticly set teh port to TCP 1433 instead of Dynamic
