I am using an HP2710P dual core laptop and an new ios based Cisco router.
When i use Win 4.8.02.0010 i get 2,7 to 2,8Mbyte per sec using ftp transfer and this is ok.
But when i upgrade the vpn client to 5.0.07.0290 performance will go down to 1.2Mbyte per sec.
Does anyone know what version that is the fastest one?
And yes i have checked the mtu i had to change it back when i upgraded.
When you look at the throughput in the documantion how do you read this number?
For example if an router can push 100Mbit throughput using 3Des in an IPSec tunnel does it mean when you have
one stream in one direction + one in the other direction or does it mean if you have data flowing in one direction as with an
ftp transfer (i know that you need to ack the data also) it should be in the neighbour of 100Mbit?
