I got very curious problem about traffic.
now our customer is using MRTG for monitoring network traffic.
but it has a different traffic amount between them.
Our 7606-S router records around 5.0Gbit/sec but when we check traffic in MRTG, it records around 3.0Gbit/sec.
We are using TengigabyteEthernet port.
I used at the below command.
- show int te3/1
- show int te3/1 accounting
- show int te3/1 counters
- show int te3/1 counters storm-control
- show int te3/1 counters errors
- show int te3/1 states
- show int te3/1 status
- show int te3/1 summary
and this is our diagram ...
[ISP] - - - - [OpenIX] - - - - [Our router 7606-S] - - - - [CoreSW]
<---------------> this area has a problem because the TX rate too much ...than MRTG traffic.
If MRTG show the traffic amount 3.0G bit/sec, also our router shows at the smae traffic amount when I typed show int te3/1.
but they have a different traffic amount......
How do I solve this problem? Please let me know and if you know that leave some message for me.!!!!
this is our Ten Giga interface ....
Router-10G-KRN#sh int te3/1
