You have two options:  You can run debug command and/or enable Telnet/SSH.

To enable debug command on the WLC, run the following commands:

1.  debug ap enable ;
2.  debug ap command "dir" ; (you can also use "sh flash:")

When you are finish or satisfied with the result, disable the debug command.

3.  debug ap disable

To enable Telnet/SSH

Depending on the version of your WLC you do this via GUI or CLI.  The CLI command on the WLC is:  config ap [telnet/ssh] enable
