Is there any way to NIC teaming on Call Manager 7.x. I had read somewhere it is possible. If anyone know how to or point me to a guide will be helpful.
Thanks...

Hi Rohan,
"NIC Teaming for Network Fault Tolerance
The NIC teaming feature allows a server to be connected to the Ethernet via two NICs and, therefore, two cables. NIC teaming prevents network downtime by transferring the workload from the failed port to the working port. NIC teaming cannot be used for load balancing or increasing the interface speed.
Hewlett-Packard server platforms with dual Ethernet network interface cards can support NIC teaming for Network Fault Tolerance with Cisco Unified CM 5.0(1) or later releases.
IBM server platforms with dual Ethernet network interface cards can support NIC teaming for Network Fault Tolerance with Cisco Unified CM 6.1(2) and later releases. "
And the command to do that as per the CUCM OS CLI Reference Guide is:
"set network failover
This command enables and disables Network Fault Tolerance on the Media Convergence Server network interface card.
Command Syntax
failover {enable | disable}
Parameters
enable enables Network Fault Tolerance.
disable disables Network Fault Tolerance.
Requirements
Command privilege level: 1
Allowed during upgrade: No "

Yes, you can. It's NIC teaming but only for failover. From the CLI, issue "set network failover enable".

When you do NIC teaming, do you need contact Cisco to get new license files
because the mac address is not virtual and I believe it changes?

Hi
No - the licensing system is clever enough to just take the first NIC physical MAC rather than the virtual team MAC. So nothing changes.

Guys,
I have a issue with the NIC teaming..
Fault tolerance is configured in my cucm.
I'd like to set the Speed and Duplex from the CM's End..
iI've added the Show network failover
admin:show network failover
eth0 has been overridden by Network Fault Tolerance.
To view the Ethernet port configuration, please use following command:
show network failover
admin:show network failover
Bond 0
DHCP : disabled Status : up
IP Address : 138.241.118.34 IP Mask : 255.255.255.224
Link Detected: yes Mode : Auto disabled, full, 100MB/s
Ethernet 0
DHCP : disabled Status : up
IP Address : IP Mask :
Link Detected: yes Mode : Auto enabled, Half, 100MB/s
Ethernet 1
DHCP : disabled Status : up
IP Address : IP Mask :
Link Detected: yes Mode : Auto enabled, Half, 100MB/s
DNS
Primary : Secondary :
Options : timeout:5 attempts:2
Domain : localdomain
Gateway : 138.241.118.33 on Ethernet bond0
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now i need eth0 to be set to Full dupled and speed 100MB/s
would using the command #set network nic eth0 speed/duplex solve my issue...
Any help highly appreciated...
Thank you guys
