HI,

I would like to know if is possible to configure the SPA962 -line keys- to control PSTN lines connected to a SPA400. I have 4 PSTN lines connected to a SPA400 and I would like to control this from my SPA962 as follow:

SPA962 Line Key     Number

1                              Extension 101

2                              Phone 583 3014

3                              Phone 583 3015

4                              Phone 583 3016

5                              Phone 583 3017

So when a PSTN phone line rings I can pick you this cal fromn the SPA962 phone, talk and/or transfer this call to another extension. Now I have configured only Line key 1 with the extension 101 and unable to manage several PSTN simultaneous calls at the same time with the SPA962. Any ideas?

Dear Sir;

You can certainly do it. Please have a look at:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9868

All you need to do is to setup an individual extension (additional extensions) assigned to new Line keys (2-5), and then perform the DID to extension mapping as described in the above link.

Alberto

On the SPA400 configuration port ID is wrongly configured. You are setting ->

1:5833014, you need to remove the 1:, just set PORT ID 1 equal to 5833014 and so on.

This should help with the mapping.

On the disconnect tone, please ensure you configure the right disconnect tone for SPA400. Information to configure it is available here:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9873 (for caller ID, this is working well, so no real need to modify)

For the disconnect tone, please look at this: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3093928#3093928

The settings for Colombia should be something like this (please try to confirm this locally).

Tone on fraction = 50 %
High cutoff frecuency = 430 Hz
Low cutoff frecuency = 420 Hz
First Tone Detection Time
On = 500 ms
Off = 500 ms
Repeat Count = 3

2nd Tone Detection Time
On = ? ms (empty)
Off = ? ms (empty)
Repeat Count = ? (empty)

Dear Alberto,

1.- How can I set up a new extension on SPA9000?

2.- I have (2) SPA400 one connected on SPA9000 Line 2 and another connected  Line 3. Under this scenario how can I set up a contact list on each line?

Sincerely,

ENRICO

Dear Alberto,

Still cannot set up as desired...

This is my configuration:

I have aN SPA962 phone called "Operator" On this phone I have the "private" extensions: 101, 514, 515, 516 and 519

On SPA9000 (Admin Login / Advanced)

Voice / Line2 / Suscriber Information

Contact List: 975833014:514|975833015:515|9755833016:516|3133915227:519|101,102,113,hunt=re;20;1,cfwd=aa

On SPA400 connected at SPA9000 L2 I have this:

SPA9000 Interface

Port ID

Port ID 1 [1:975833014]

Port ID 2 [2:975833015]

Port ID 3 [3:975833016]

Port ID 4 [OFF4]

On SPA400 connected at SPA9000 L3 I have this:

Port ID 1 [1.3133915227]

Port ID 2 [FXO_Port_ID_2]

Port ID 3 [OFF3]

Port ID 4 [OFF4]

On SPA962 display see this (this configuration created with the wizard):

Line 1 - 101

Line 2 - L5833014

Line 3 - L5833015

Line 4 - L5833016

Line 5 - 3133915227

Line 6 - off

Still when a receive a call always rings on SPA962 Line 1 (101) I'm unable to make on this phone ring the correspondent PSTN line.

Pls help to set up correctly.

ENRICO

There is somebody can help with this?

I did the procesure as requested on https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9868 but doesn´t work. I cannot make ring one of the specified "lines" on my SPA962 phone. This phone does have -6- Voice Lines and I want to make ring them if a receive a call from the SPA400 (by the way I have 2 on them installed). On the DOC-9868 does not explai how to make ring the phone at the desired Voice Line.

I have this:

SPA400 Unit One

L1 - phone 5833014

L2 - phone 5833015

L3 - phone 5833016

L4 - phone 5833017 (this is for fax) also we have fax connecte to FXS1 on the SPA9000

SPA400 Unit Two

L1 - phone 313 391 5227 (this is a cellular and because of this we used a separate SPA400)

On dial plan we use 9, to dial SPA400 Unit One and 8, to dia SPA400 Unit Two.

I want to ring on my SPA962 phone (defined as Extension 101) each voice line according each SPA400 phone line, so:

SPA962 Voice Line 1 - Extension 101 (this is working and receving all calls)

SPA962 Voice Line 2 - phone 5833014 - SPA400 Unit One

SPA962 Voice Line 3 - phone 5833015 - SPA400 Unit One

SPA962 Voice Line 4 - phone 5833016 - SPA400 Unit One

SPA962 Voice Line 5 - phone 3133915227 - SPA400 Unit One

I thought that I have to create several extension on same phone 962 to link this "virtual extension" to a SPA962 voice line but is seems that does not work.

Any idea? I'm trying to make this work for 2 weeks with no success. Pls help.

Dear Enrico;

Sorry for the delay answering. Please see below some info and hints:

(1) About the contact list: Please note the following, for PSTN numbers connected to SPA400 (1) - Line 2, you need to configure the contact list for that line only with the numbers connected to that line, same in Line 3.

(2) All calls are going to 101 (included in your contact list), which indicates there may be a mapping issue. Are you able to take traces of it? Take traces of the incoming call (Line) as well as the proxy side. Please provide me with the traces...the support community (doc section) includes info about how to take debug traces on SPA9000.

As a temporary workaround, on the contact list, set e.g. 514 as backup contact list (instead of 101) for L2 and 517 as backup contact list for L3. This should at list get you first level of granularity until the other issue is nailed down.

Alberto

Dear Alberto,

I have spent all day long reading documents, trying this and that, still at the same point. Well...

1.- Where I can get the SLOGSRV.EXE file? I read this https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9862 but it seems that only Cisco registered partners can download this file. If I try to get in I receive this msg.: FORBIDDEN FILE OR APPLICATION.

2.- Now I have this configuration:

On SPA9000 / Admin / advanced / Line 2 / Suscriber Information /

Contact List: 5833014:514|5833015:515|5833016:516|101,cfwd=aa

on Line 3 / Suscriber Information /

Contact List: 3133915227:519|101,102,113,hunt=re;20;1,cfwd=aa

On SPA400 (Unit 1)

SPA9000 Interface / Port ID

Port ID 1 [1:5833014]

Port ID 2 [2:5833015]

Port ID 3 [3:5833016]

Port ID 4 [OFF4]

On SPA400 (Unit 2)

Port ID 1 [1:3133915227]

the remaining ports are OFF

On SPA962 (info from SPA9000 PBX Status)

Station         User ID     IP Address

Operadora     101          1.1.100.107

Operadora     514          1.1.100.107

Operadora     515          1.1.100.107

Operadora     516          1.1.100.107

Operadora     519          1.1.100.107

On SPA962 display shows

Voice Line 1 [101] (shared)

Voice Line 2 [5833014]

Voice Line 3 [5833015]

Voice Line 4 [5833016]

Still all inbound calls rings only at Voice Line 1 [101] of the SPA962 phone. If I change Contact list with for example 514 instead 101 calls rings at Voice Line 2 of the SPA962. It's seems to me that the SPA9000 does not understand the 514:583314|515:5833015|516:5833015|

Also if i call the extensions 514 or 515 or 516 they rings correctly at the correspondent voice line on the SPA962.

There is someting wrong, point is what is it?

ENRICO

Hi Enrico;

This may be likely an issue on the number that comes from SPA400 to SPA900.

Use this https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9863 for tracing the SPA400 lines, and send me the traces. The tool is attached. Your configuration seems right.

Alberto

Dear Alberto,

Attached is the syslog of this afternoon I also include some screenshots. By the way I have problems with PSTN lines connected to the SPA400 because sometimes after a call the line does not hangs up and because we have a PBX system with 3 lines (583 3014 / 3015 /3016) after 3 in or out calls all the lines remains Off Hook so we cannot make new call or can receive.

We have connected to line 3016 (SPA400 Port ID 3) our ADSL internet; the wire goes first to a filter splitter.

Only option (when we go to takea look at the SPA400 wirh all the line leds on) is to reset the device. Any hint? We are located in Colombia.

Tks in advance for this help.

Enrico

Dear Alberto,

SPA400 ID is now working. Tks. I'm going to set up the remaining issues with the info received wich was very helpful. The SPA9000 system is complex but thanks help received now I'm undestanging better, so I will set up all the features we need (AA is the next step and Skype access) in order to have a very powerful and professional phone system; we also ordered more IP phones because we like all the features avalable with this system.

Tks again,

ENRICO

I'm trying to configure this feature for my SPA525G phones. Could someone provide a sample configuration of what to configure for the line keys and/or extensions if also necessary? I can't find anything clear on what to do for that step, the SPA9000 and SPA400 is configured properly.

If it can be configured in the wizard I can't figure out where to go to do it, so any help would be great. The lines are configured as aline1 using 201 and aline2 using 202.

Is this possible to have it show BLF on the lines to show if it's available or not?
