Hi

I am curious if the feature QinQ tunnel over L2TPv3 (which eventually crosses over WAN). I am able to see this feature in Cisco FN but only available under GSR routers. Would like to know if this feature is available in other platforms.

thanks

Arun

Hello Arun,

by adding two switches capable of QinQ tunneling and connecting their core facing interface to a L2TPV3 capable router you should be able to achieve this.

you need to take in account possible MTU issues

L2 CE --- tunnel-port --- switch ---- core trunk ---  router interface with per vlan L2TPv3 ===== IP WAN ===== router interface --per vlan L2tpv3 --- core trunk --- switch --- tunnel-port --- L2 CE

be aware that L2TPv3 provides point  to point L2 transport services and performance are limited by router capabilities and WAN speed.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
