Is it possible to have an incoming 1-800# assigned to a Meet-Me bridge? Currently we are using Meet-Me with 5 digit extensions that are DID capable.

Hi Brad,
This is most possible, in fact we just set one up for testing
and future use
Have your Telco/provider point the new 1-800# at an existing or new DID
that has been configured as a MeetMe number pattern.
In our case we used a DID DN 8858 and had our SP point a new 1-866#
at xxx-xxx-8858. Once the MeetMe has been setup from an IP Phone callers can
join the Conference via the 1-866#.
Cheers!

Sure. In my experience 1800 numbers are usually translated in the cloud to a DID before presentation to your CO TDM or SIP trunks. But in either case find out what your carrier is presenting and handle accordingly by either translating digits or using other methods so that the MML fits in your dial plan. For your internal users, you will want a translation pattern that matches the 1800 number and translates the called party to redirect the call to your internal MML. Using the translation will help you avoid unnecessary costs associated with maintaining a 1800 number.
HTH.

Bill
