Hello,

We are using 6513 chassis with sup 720. Slost 1 , 2 contains FWSMs and configured as failover .The issue is that when we try to access the primary slot fwsm by

CORE-6513_SW1#session slot 1 processor 1
The default escape character is Ctrl-^, then x.
You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session
Trying 127.0.0.11 ...
% Connection timed out; remote host not responding

But the secondary in slot 2 is working fine with this cmd as below

CORE-6513_SW1#session slot 2 processor 1
The default escape character is Ctrl-^, then x.
You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session
Trying 127.0.0.21 ... Open

It could be a stuck telnet connection counter on the FWSM.

If you can't ssh to it, or telnet, there is not much you can do but reboot the module.

I am pretty sure it will come back fine if you do.

I hope it helps.
