Have a Time and Attendance system that relies on caller id to enter in it's database what number the call is coming from. We have an ATA 186 connected to the system as opposed to using a straight analog line.
The system is not seing the caller id come in. The users can call on-net with 4 digit dialing, or off-net by dialing 9+7. Both do not register called id. Is there anything that is "quirky" about the ATA as opposed to using a striclty analog line, or a setting on the ATA that I can play with, etc etc etc.
Any insight/help will be grateful.
