IP Telephony on VPN

Hi,

We have CUCM 7.1.3, CUPS 7.0, CUPC client and 7 PRI lines from different ISPs.

In india we have TRAI regulation that WAN & PSTN call can not be merged.

Currently when users will be in the office, they can dial CUG as well as PSTN calls which is working perfectly fine.

Now when users will connect through VPN; we want that users can dial CUG numbers but should not be allowed to dial any PSTN numbers as per TRAI rule.

So need your help to configure the same.

Regards,

Nimit

Hi, I'm assuming the user uses the same softphone while he's into the network or over the VPN and always register with the same CUCM cluster. For this particular case you can use Device Mobility feature, you can get the detail here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_1_2/ccmfeat/fsdevmob.html

If the user uses Extension Mobility feature you can simply put the PSTN route pattern partition on the user device CSS (not on the line CSS) so while he's on mobile he can't access the PSTN route pattern.

If the user uses shared line between the hardphone and the softkey I'm not sure if the Device Mobility can help you on this.

HTH.
