Recording/Monitoring Requirements for 5.x

Can UCCX 5.x Enhanced with a single server support monitoring and recording? If so what is the limit on sessions/streams?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Brian,

You can do monitor and recording with just one server without any issue. There are two different ways to do Monitor: Spam base a desktop monitor.

In this guide could find more information about each one of them.

Desktop Monitor

Spam:

And in the Chapter 7 of the SRND are some considerations for the Spam base solution:

Also could you please tell us the HW that you are using to try to find out the number of concurrent session.

Freudian slip there? Spam? I love it.

Spam is harder to troubleshoot some times, but its nice.

Oh, this brought back my childhood, and I remembered this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_eYSuPKP3Y

(Actually, this message is kind of spam, isn't it?

Nice video Net....

Thanks for the reply. So a separate recording/monitoring server is not required ... I can provide these services on a standalone 5.x Enhanced server?

Also, the instructions point to older versions of UCCX and UCM ... I don't suppose Cisco has a more recent guide (?)

Brian

That is correct, you don't need a separate server to do monitor and recording that can done in a stand alone server without a

any issue, the type of deployment where you have one server running different types of services is known as expansion model and it was use in older versions of UCCX.

These are the documents for version 5 of UCCX.
